"Doing everything yourself is not a good idea, even if you are the founder. The product is never enough — marketing is everything, and the story of the product matters even more than the product itself."

I founded FeetSutra — a barefoot and minimal footwear brand built on the philosophy that most modern shoes work against the human body. FeetSutra designs wide toe-box, zero-drop, thin-sole shoes that restore natural foot mechanics, blending timeless craftsmanship with a commitment to slow fashion and sustainability.

I built everything from the ground up: product concept, brand identity (including a symmetric ambigram logo that reads the same rotated 180°), the Shopify eCommerce store, product photography, content strategy, a repair & resole program, affiliate marketing infrastructure, and carbon-neutral shipping integration. Two product lines launched — the Chandigarh Penny Loafer and Khussa 2.0.

Story beats product, every time
A technically superior product in a crowded market is invisible without a compelling narrative. I learned this the hard way — and now I help clients define the story before they build the roadmap.

Doing everything yourself is a trap
Founders who wear every hat move fast early and stall hard later. Knowing when to delegate, hire, or outsource is a product decision, not just an operational one.

Distribution is the product
Building a repair & resole program and an affiliate network taught me that how you reach customers is as important as what you're selling. Every PM should think in channels, not just features.

Sustainability needs to be structural
Carbon-neutral shipping and slow-fashion principles weren't marketing add-ons — they were baked into the business model. Values embedded in product architecture earn far more trust than values declared in a tagline.
